Responding to greed, cruelty and ignorance in my life and the world at large with humor and grace, and also trying to find a visual language that tells a story without being preachy. A language that is also soothing, inclusive and sometimes ebullient. Probably the biggest influence was kicking Imposter Syndrome to the curb and trusting my own instincts.
I am a mixed media artist and mother of two children. My art is a celebration of beauty and a reminder that we are a species with the gift of forethought. Imagery is rooted in the natural world and summoned from my imagination, Works are informed by stewardship, activism, playfulness, and awe. I love to laugh and make things. Most days, I have a twinkle in my eyes.
