Quiet and peaceful mixed media work on cradled panel by Bay Area artist Carol Dalton. Both modern and minimal with rustic qualities, this piece will work in a variety of environments. This original work is large 48" x 48" with a 1.25" painted white edge, ready for hanging.

Carol Dalton is a painter,  and works also with mixed media, collage, and printmaking. Her most current work has to do with the sea, and land, and continues her basic exploration into the consequences of the human involvement in our environment.

Dalton grew up in Southern California.  She attended the Santa Barbara Art Institute, a part of Brooks Institute from 1971-1974.

In 2018, Carol will have two solo exhibits.  Her show at the Jen Tough Gallery will be in April in Benicia, California, and at the Marilyn Citron O’Rourke Gallery at the Benicia Public Library, in August.   Carol has been accepted into the  2018 Left Coast Annual Exhibition at the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, juried by Claudia Schmuckli in April.

Dalton has been exhibiting for nearly twenty five years in Bay Area Galleries, including over a dozen solo exhibits, and has work included in the Crocker Art Museum, Monterey Art Museum, and Kaiser Permante Vallejo, and corporate offices in Oakland, CA.  She is currently represented by the SFMOMA Artists Gallery, Stewart Kummer Gallery, and Jen Tough Gallery.

Carol divides her time between working with her husband Lowell in their business, Benicia Frame, and her studio in the Arsenal Art District, along the Carquinez Straits, in Benicia, California.
